Tech Movers: Lawson Software, Xyratex Ltd. Thursday, October 1, 10:21 AM ET
There are a couple tech stocks moving in pre-market this morning after beating Wall Street earnings estimates late yesterday.
Increasing demand from customers in government and health care led to Lawson Software boosting (NASDAQ:LWSN) its guidance for its second fiscal quarter results.
The Minnesota-based company said it is now looking to earn a penny to three cents per share in the quarter ending November 30, on revenue of $175 million to $180 million.
And shares of Xyratex Limited (NASDAQ:XRTX) are also heading higher after that company also handily beat analyst estimates.
Xyratex earned $7.8 million, or 26 cents a share, as compared to flat earnings in the same quarter last year. Excluding items, earnings totaled 36 cents per share, on revenue that fell 12 percent.
