AsiaInfo Holdings (NASDAQ:ASIA) beat earnings guidance, with earnings from continuing operations coming in at 20 cents per share, and the company gave a forecast for the fourth quarter of between 28 and 29 cents. Revenue met the company's guidance, and was up 42% year over year. Shares jumped 17% in Thursday trading.
ATM operator Cardtronics (NASDAQ:CATM) posted higher revenue year over year, and adjusted net income for the third quarter of 24 cents, up from 7 cents in the same quarter last year. On a constant currency basis, revenue was up 8%, and gross margins increased from 24% up to 32% for the quarter. Investors sent shares of Cardtronics more than 16% higher.
LeMaitre Vascular (NASDAQ:LMAT) earned 8 cents per share on record sales which grew 11% year over year. Sales were helped in particular by the company's open vascular surgery products. The company announced an expansion of its stock repurchase program, saying its shares represent an attractive investment opportunity. Investors agreed, sending shares 15% higher in Thursday trading.
Distressed consumer debt management company Encore Capital Group (NASDAQ:ECPG) found plenty of business during the quarter, driving earnings to 37 cents per share, up from just 13 cents in the same quarter last year. Collections, revenue from bankruptcy servicing, and revenue from receivable portfolios were all up, as was the company's tangible book value per share. Encore shares advanced more than 17%.
