China Tells Microsoft to Stop Selling Some Windows Versions Wednesday, November 18, 10:50 AM ET
Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) has been ordered to cease sales of Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 by courts in Beijing.
Those versions of Windows use Chinese fonts developed by a local company, with whom Microsoft is in a licensing dispute.
Microsoft said it believes its licensing agreements do cover use of the font, and it will appeal the ruling. It has not said how many copies of products could be affected.
