Toyota To Issue Plans on Prius Brake Issues

Toyota (NYSE:TM) said it plans to announce its plan to deal with reported brake problems in the Prius hybrid “soon,” amid massive recalls of many other models of cars.

There are reports that Toyota has issued a recall for the vehicle in Japan, although it is unclear if it will do the same in the U.S.

Prius drivers have said there is a delay before anti-lock brakes begin to work in the vehicle.

Toyota has recalled 7 million vehicles in the U.S., Europe, and China over gas pedal issues.

It will resume halted production on several models in U.S. factories today.

Other automakers, like Ford (NYSE:F), GM, and Chrysler have begun to offer incentives if buyers trade in a Toyota vehicle for one of their cars.
