Tuesday 10/16 Insider Buying Report: SCHS, LARK Tuesday, October 16, 4:19 PM ET
Bargain hunters are wise to pay careful attention to insider buying, because although there are many various reasons for an insider to sell a stock, presumably the only reason they would use their hard-earned dollars to make a purchase, is that they expect to make money. Today we look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
At School Specialty, Inc. (SCHS), a filing with the SEC revealed that on Thursday, Senior Vice President, Sales Patrick Timothy Collins bought 60,000 shares of SCHS, at a cost of $2.07 each, for a total investment of $124,206. School Specialty, Inc. is trading up about 5.3% on the day Tuesday.
And at Landmark Bancorp Inc (NASDAQ:LARK), there was insider buying on Thursday, by Director Richard Ball who bought 2,785 shares at a cost of $19.93 each, for a trade totaling $55,505. Before this latest buy, Ball purchased LARK on 2 other occasions during the past year, for a total investment of $60,417 at an average of $19.92 per share. Landmark Bancorp Inc is trading up about 0.9% on the day Tuesday.
