EEM, SRTY: Big ETF Outflows Monday, March 17, 2:26 PM ET
Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets ETF (AMEX:EEM), where 22,950,000 units were destroyed, or a 3% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of EEM, in morning trading today Credicorp (NYSE:BAP) is up about 0.5%, and Mobile Telesystems (NYSE:MBT) is up by about 0.7%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the Proshares UltraPro Short Russell2000 (AMEX:SRTY), which lost 350,000 of its units, representing a 18.9% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior.
