ETFs Own Over $1.5 Billion of Newmont Mining Corporation Stock

Aggregately ETFs are holding over $1.5 billion of Newmont Mining Corporation (NYSE:NEM) stock, or more than 5% of the market capitalization.
The ETF with the largest amount of Newmont is the Gold Miners ETF (AMEX:GDX) with over $782 million of their stock, or 11.3% of the ETF. The only two larger holdings of the ETF are Goldcorp (NYSE:GG) at 12.4% and Barrick Gold Corporation (NYSE:ABX) at 17.55%.
The S&P 500 SPDR ETF (AMEX:SPY) holds more than $196 million of Newmont and the Materials Select Sector SPDR Fund (AMEX:XLB) owns $108 million of Newmont.
