Dow component Caterpillar (NYSE:CAT) announced on Thursday that it will be raising its prices by 2% worldwide starting in January 2011. This news follows the company's 2Q earning report from July that indicated demand was returning from the industrial sector, especially from overseas clients in Asia and Brazil. Since the beginning of July, shares of Caterpillar have climbed more than 30%, helping ETFs like the Industrial Select Sector SPDR Fund (AMEX:XLI), the Emerging Markets Infrastructure Portfolio (AMEX:PXR), the SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF (AMEX:DIA) and the Vanguard Industrials ETF (AMEX:VIS).
