Finance and Materials ETFs Shine; Semiconductors Lag

The SPDR KBW Mortgage Finance ETF (AMEX:KME) outperformed other ETFs over the past five trading days, up about 7.8%. Components of that ETF showing particular strength this week include shares of MGIC Investment (NYSE:MTG), up about 7% and shares of Radian Group (NYSE:RDN), up about 6.7% on the week.
And underperforming other ETFs over the past five trading days is the Dynamic Semiconductors Portfolio ETF (AMEX:PSI), down about 2.7% this week. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing for the week were shares of LTX Credence (NASDAQ:LTXC), lower by about 17.7%, and shares of Brooks Automation (NASDAQ:BRKS), lower by about 16.3% on the week.
Other ETF standouts include the iShares MSCI ACWI ex US Materials Sector Index Fund (AMEX:AXMT), outperforming with a 7.1% gain over the last five trading days. And the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (AMEX:XSD) was an underperformer, falling about 2% over the same time period.
