As gold continues to hit new highs, ETFs that focus on the shiny metal are benefiting.
With the price of gold exceeding $1,300 an ounce for the first time on Tuesday as investors continue to worry about weak housing and consumer confidence data, the SPDR Gold Trust (AMEX:GLD) added $219 million in assets, and is trading higher by nearly two tenths of a percent on Wednesday.
Another play on gold is the Gold Miners ETF (AMEX:GDX), trading lower by nearly 1.4 percent, or the DB Gold Fund (AMEX:DGL), trading higher by nearly two tenths of a percent.
