Shares of Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) are holding back the iShares Dow Jones US Financial Service ETF (AMEX:IYG) this morning as the country's largest bank is down about 3.5% this morning. Bank of America accounts for more than 9% of the ETF and has the exchange traded fund trading slightly in the red today.
Other components of the ETF include JP Morgan (NYSE:JPM), Citigroup, (NYSE:C), Wells Fargo (NYSE:WFC) and Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) -- all of which are higher today. Well Fargo is leading the pack, up almost 2% as the company posted higher than expected earnings this morning.
Of the 120 holdings, JP Morgan accounts for more than 12% of the fund, followed by Wells Fargo at 9.8%, Bank of America at 9.3%, Citigroup at 8% and Goldman Sachs at 5.5%.
