Shares of Lindsay Corporation (NYSE:LNN) are trading higher on Wednesday on news that earnings beat Wall Street expectations. The results were driven by strong sales in the infrastructure division. The company reported net income of $6 million or 48 cents per share, versus $2.1 million, or 17 cents per share, in the same quarter last year
The stock is trading higher by nearly 13.5 percent.
Shares of American Airlines parent AMR (AMR) are up by nearly 10.6 percent after the company reported its first profit since the thir quarter of 2008, from the sale of an investment business. The company said it earned $143 million, or 39 cents per share, beating estimates of 32 cents per share.
NOVO-NORDISK (NYSE:NVO) shares are higher in afternoon trading on news that the FDA requested Bydureon, a new diabetes drug from Amylin (NASDAQ:AMLN), Eli Lilly (NYSE:LLY) and Alkermes (NASDAQ:ALKS), be tested further before approval, pushing the drug release date ahead by almost two years.
