Exelon (NYSE:EXC) earnings missed consensus estimates this morning when the company reported net income of $1.11 per share, a penny shy of Wall Street's average earnings estimates. Following the news, shares of Exelon fell about 3.5% and this is having a rippling effect in the ETF universe.
The ETF with the largest percentage of its NAV in Exelon stock is the Utilities HOLDRs ETF (UTH). This ETF holds more than 13% of its portfolio in shares of EXC and has the fund down almost 1% this afternoon. Rounding out the top four positions are The Southern Company (NYSE:SO), Dominion Resources (NYSE:D) and NextEra Energy (NYSE:NEE).
