Limited Brands, Abercrombie, American Eagle Same Store Sales Rise; Retail ETFs Mostly Higher

September same-store sales announced on Thursday at mall-based retailers were mixed, with several store beating expectations as well as some misses.
Limited Brands (NYSE:LTD) saw same-store sales growth in September that blew past analyst expectations, as did Abercrombie & Fitch (NYSE:ANF) and
America Eagle Outfitters (NYSE:AEO).
On the downside, however, Gap (NYSE:GPS) said same-store sales fell in September, with actual results below analyst expectations.
How is all of today's retail news impacting related ETFs? The Retail HOLDRS (AMEX:RTH) is trading lower by about a tenth of a percent, while the Dynamic Retail Portfolio (AMEX:PMR) is trading higher by by over 1.1%, and the SPDR S&P Retail ETF (AMEX:XRT) is trading higher by seven tenths of a percent.
