A weakness in the markets today is not stopping REIT ETFs from rising.
The Vanguard REIT Index ETF (AMEX:VNQ), is up over half a percent today, and the iShares Cohen & Steers Realty Majors Index Fund (AMEX:ICF) is also up nearly half a percent. Holdings of both of these ETFs include Simon Property Group (NYSE:SPG) and Vornado Realty Trust (NYSE:VNO).
With most of the downside in the real estate market now in the past, investors are likely to become bullish on these funds going forward.
