Strong Earnings From Ford Help ETFs - PMA, XLY, IYK

Ford (NYSE:F) reported third quarter earnings on Tuesday morning, and investors were impressed with the $1.7 billion the company earned. Ford managed to reduce incentives and raise prices across its brands as buyers were attracted by strong ratings and reviews for the 2010 line of vehicles. On the day, shares of Ford are higher by about 1.2%.
Shares of Ford show up in 53 different ETFs tracked by ETFChannel.com, with the Powershares Active MegaCap Fund (AMEX:PMA) having the largest percentage of its portfolio in Ford at 6.1%. The next ETF with the highest weighting towards Ford is the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (AMEX:XLY) at 4.3% and then the iShares Dow Jones U.S. Consumer Goods Sector Index Fund (AMEX:IYK) at 3.6%.
