Akamai Technology (NASDAQ:AKAM) shares are falling today on reports that Netflix (NFLX) is switching to Limelight Network (NASDAQ:LLNW) and Level 3 Communications (NYSE:LVLT) as content delivery networks.
Akamai shares are trading lower to by 4.9%, while Limelight shares trade up 17.6% and Level 3 shares trade higher by 24.3%.
Akamai is 38.95% of the Internet Infrastructure HOLDRS (IIH), trading down 2% today, behind VeriSign (NASDAQ:VRSN), which is 52.49% of the portfolio.
