Anworth Mortgage Core Earnings $0.19, Downgraded by JMP: ETF to Watch REM

On Friday after the close Anworth Mortgage Asset Corporation (NYSE:ANH) reported core earnings of $0.19 per diluted share for the quarter ended September 30, 2010, versus $0.21 per diluted share, for the quarter ended June 30, 2010.
September 30th book value was $6.99 per share versus $7.18 per share on June 30, 2010.
During the quarter, Anworth repurchased a total of 404,424 shares at a weighted average price of $6.65 per share.
Anworth was downgraded by JMP Securities to market perform from outperform.
Using the ETF Screener, the iShares FTSE NAREIT Mortgage Plus Capped Index Fund (AMEX:REM) holds about 2.4% in Anworth with the bulk of their holdings in other companies including Annaly Capital Management (NYSE:NLY) at 21.6%, Chimera Investment (NYSE:CIM) at 10.2% and MFA Financial (NYSE:MFA) at 6.3%.
