BP Makes Egypt Discovery

BP (NYSE:BP) said today it has made a significant gas discovery in the West Nile Delta of Egypt.

BP said the Hodoa discovery, as it is called, demonstrates the potential of the deep reservoirs of the Nile Delta.

BP shares are trading up 1.1% Wednesday.

The British oil major is 6.66% of the Vanguard European Fund (AMEX:VGK).

Vodafone (NASDAQ:VOD) is the top stock in the fund, at 11.75% of the total, followed by HSBC (NYSE:HBC), at 8.1%.

Aegon (NYSE:AEG) is 4.88% of the fund, and Telefonica (TEF) is 2.52%.
