The largest U.S. homebuilder, PulteGroup (NYSE:PHM) posted a wider third-quarter loss today, although the company’s adjusted loss beat analyst expectations.
Pulte said new orders declined 12% in the third quarter compared to last year.
Shares of Pulte are trading down 0.5% in premarket Wednesday.
Pulte is one of the top holdings in the iShares Dow Jones U.S. Home Construction Index Fund (AMEX:ITB), at 7.49% of the total.
Pulte stock is 3.41% of the SPDR S&P Homebuilders ETF (AMEX:XHB).
Pulte also makes up 5.65% of the SPDR KBW Mortgage Finance ETF (AMEX:KME).
