Coverage of Starwood Hotels (NYSE:HOT) was initiated at Janney Montgomery Scott.
The firm was rated neutral with at $55 price target.
Janney Montgomery said the luxury and upscale market in which Starwood operates will benefit from a lack of new hotel supply, which should benefit revenue per available room.
Shares of Starwood are trading down 1.75% Friday.
Starwood is 1.25% of the Rydex S&P Equal Weight Consumer Discretionary ETF (AMEX:RCD).
The top stock in the fund is Carmax (NYSE:KMX), at 1.58%, followed by Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) at 1.47%.
J.C. Penney (NYSE:JCP) is the third largest stock in the fund, at 1.44% of the portfolio.
