XOP Second Most Shorted ETF

The SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production ETF (AMEX:XOP) is the second most shorted ETF that ETF Channel covers with 381.44% of shares short. The ETF holds companies such as Atlas Energy (NYSE:ATLS), Tesoro (NYSE:TSO), Newfield Exploration (NYSE:NFX) and SM Energy (NYSE:SM).

There are 41,195,100 shares of the ETF sold short versus 10,800,000 shares outstanding.

Of the underlying top components, Tesoro has the longest days to cover at 4.2. The ETF itself would take 9.8 days to cover.
