In trading on Wednesday, the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Financials Sector Index Fund (NASDAQ:EMFN) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 3.4% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of HDFC Bank (NYSE:HDB), up about 4.3% and shares of Icici Bank (NYSE:IBN), up about 4.1% on the day.
And underperforming other ETFs today is the Gold Miners ETF (AMEX:GDX), off about 0.8% in Wednesday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Wednesday were shares of Great Basin Gold (AMEX:GBG), lower by about 4.8%, and shares of Coeur d`Alene Mines (NYSE:CDE), lower by about 3.2% on the day.
