The SPDR S&P Transportation ETF (AMEX:XTN) outperformed other ETFs this week, up about 2.7%. Components of that ETF showing particular strength this week include shares of Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL), up about 13.3% and shares of United Continental Holdings (NYSE:UAL), up about 11.1% on the week.
And underperforming other ETFs this week is the Solar Energy ETF (AMEX:KWT), off about 9% this week. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing for the week were shares of Energy Conversion Devices (ENER), lower by about 29.5%, and shares of Canadian Solar (NASDAQ:CSIQ), lower by about 18.4% on the week.
Other ETF standouts this week include the Rydex S&P 500 Equal Weight Utilities ETF (AMEX:RYU), outperforming this week with a 1.9% gain. And the Dynamic Semiconductors Portfolio (AMEX:PSI) was an underperformer, falling about 7.5% this week.
