Looking today at week-over-week shares outstanding changes among the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the largest inflow was seen in the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (AMEX:XLP), which added 12,450,000 shares, or a 10.7% increase week over week. Among the largest underlying components of XLP, in morning trading today Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE:PG) is up about 0.1%, and Philip Morris International Incorporated (NYSE:PM) is higher by about 1.6%.
And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the largest increase in inflows was the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Eastern Europe Index Fund (AMEX:ESR), which added 1,250,000 shares, for a whopping 113.6% increase in outstanding shares. Among the largest underlying components of ESR, in morning trading today Mobile Telesystems (NYSE:MBT) is up about 2.3%, and Mechel OAO (NYSE:MTL) is higher by about 3.5%.
