In trading on Wednesday, the Wireless HOLDRS ETF (WMH) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 4.2% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of Sprint Nextel (NYSE:S), up about 6.5% and shares of Crown Castle International (NYSE:CCI), up about 2.7% on the day.
And underperforming other ETFs today is the Telecom HOLDRS ETF (TTH), off about 2.4% in Wednesday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Wednesday were shares of AT&T (NYSE:T), lower by about 4.3%, and shares of Level 3 Communications (NYSE:LVLT), lower by about 2.2% on the day.
