In trading on Thursday, the iShares MSCI ACWI ex US Information Technology Sector Index Fund ETF (AMEX:AXIT) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 7.3% on the day. Components of that ETF showing particular strength include shares of United Microelectronics (NYSE:UMC), up about 2.5% and shares of AU Optronics (NYSE:AUO), up about 1.5% on the day.
And underperforming other ETFs today is the SPDR KBW Regional Banking ETF (AMEX:KRE), down about 3.8% in Thursday afternoon trading. Among components of that ETF with the weakest showing on Thursday were shares of Boston Private Financial Holdings (NASDAQ:BPFH), lower by about 6.9%, and shares of First Commonwealth Financial (NYSE:FCF), lower by about 6.4% on the day.
