Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT), where a total of 186,337 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 18.6 million underlying shares. That amounts to about 69.2% of MSFT's average daily trading volume over the past month of 26.9 million shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $215 strike call option expiring October 23, 2020, with 17,668 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 1.8 million underlying shares of MSFT. Micron Technology Inc. (NASDAQ:MU) options are showing a volume of 134,998 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 13.5 million underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 67.8% of MU's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 19.9 million shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $57.50 strike call option expiring November 20, 2020, with 19,247 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 1.9 million underlying shares of MU.
