Looking at options trading activity among components of the Russell 3000 index, there is noteworthy activity today in Universal Display Corp (NASDAQ:OLED), where a total volume of 2,283 contracts has been traded thus far today, a contract volume which is representative of approximately 228,300 underlying shares (given that every 1 contract represents 100 underlying shares). That number works out to 79.6% of OLED's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 286,870 shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $220 strike call option expiring November 20, 2020, with 602 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 60,200 underlying shares of OLED. Especially high volume was seen for the $5 strike put option expiring December 18, 2020, with 2,407 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 240,700 underlying shares of OVID.
