Noteworthy Thursday Option Activity: PLAN, LMND, PAYS

Looking at options trading activity among components of the Russell 3000 index, there is noteworthy activity today in Anaplan Inc (PLAN), where a total volume of 9,070 contracts has been traded thus far today, a contract volume which is representative of approximately 907,000 underlying shares (given that every 1 contract represents 100 underlying shares). That number works out to 51.9% of PLAN's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 1.7 million shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $70 strike call option expiring March 19, 2021, with 3,148 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 314,800 underlying shares of PLAN. Lemonade Inc (NYSE:LMND) saw options trading volume of 15,414 contracts, representing approximately 1.5 million underlying shares or approximately 51% of LMND's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 3.0 million shares.
Especially high volume was seen for the $100 strike put option expiring April 16, 2021, with 1,281 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 128,100 underlying shares of LMND. And Paysign Inc (NASDAQ:PAYS) options are showing a volume of 1,436 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 143,600 underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 49.7% of PAYS's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 289,020 shares.
Especially high volume was seen for the $5 strike put option expiring March 19, 2021, with 1,034 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 103,400 underlying shares of PAYS.
