Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in Regis Corp (NASDAQ:RGS), where a total of 2,370 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 237,000 underlying shares. That amounts to about 58.2% of RGS's average daily trading volume over the past month of 407,195 shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $10 strike put option expiring September 17, 2021, with 2,000 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 200,000 underlying shares of RGS. 3M Co (NYSE:MMM) options are showing a volume of 12,786 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 1.3 million underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 57.8% of MMM's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 2.2 million shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $182.50 strike call option expiring March 05, 2021, with 1,211 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 121,100 underlying shares of MMM. And Western Digital Corp (NASDAQ:WDC) options are showing a volume of 27,413 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 2.7 million underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 57.2% of WDC's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 4.8 million shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $72.50 strike call option expiring July 16, 2021, with 7,211 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 721,100 underlying shares of WDC.
