Notable Monday Option Activity: IRTC, AAPL, RAPT

Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in iRhythm Technologies Inc (NASDAQ:IRTC), where a total of 4,332 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 433,200 underlying shares. That amounts to about 114.7% of IRTC's average daily trading volume over the past month of 377,725 shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $80 strike put option expiring November 19, 2021, with 307 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 30,700 underlying shares of IRTC. Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) saw options trading volume of 1.1 million contracts, representing approximately 112.7 million underlying shares or approximately 112% of AAPL's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 100.6 million shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $135 strike call option expiring April 16, 2021, with 86,932 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 8.7 million underlying shares of AAPL. And RAPT Therapeutics Inc (NASDAQ:RAPT) options are showing a volume of 1,830 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 183,000 underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 110.5% of RAPT's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 165,605 shares.
Especially high volume was seen for the $25 strike call option expiring May 21, 2021, with 1,500 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 150,000 underlying shares of RAPT.
