Noteworthy Wednesday Option Activity: MMM, VRAY, LEN

Looking at options trading activity among components of the Russell 3000 index, there is noteworthy activity today in 3M Co (NYSE:MMM), where a total volume of 9,735 contracts has been traded thus far today, a contract volume which is representative of approximately 973,500 underlying shares (given that every 1 contract represents 100 underlying shares). That number works out to 45.9% of MMM's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 2.1 million shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $202.50 strike call option expiring April 23, 2021, with 1,217 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 121,700 underlying shares of MMM. ViewRay Inc (VRAY) options are showing a volume of 4,335 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 433,500 underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 45% of VRAY's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 964,245 shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $5 strike call option expiring May 21, 2021, with 2,258 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 225,800 underlying shares of VRAY. And Lennar Corp (NYSE:LEN) saw options trading volume of 9,501 contracts, representing approximately 950,100 underlying shares or approximately 44.5% of LEN's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 2.1 million shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $101 strike put option expiring April 23, 2021, with 832 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 83,200 underlying shares of LEN.
