Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in Netflix Inc (NASDAQ:NFLX), where a total of 96,426 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 9.6 million underlying shares. That amounts to about 175.8% of NFLX's average daily trading volume over the past month of 5.5 million shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $505 strike put option expiring May 07, 2021, with 4,340 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 434,000 underlying shares of NFLX. Blackrock Inc (NYSE:BLK) saw options trading volume of 5,713 contracts, representing approximately 571,300 underlying shares or approximately 113.6% of BLK's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 502,800 shares.
Especially high volume was seen for the $580 strike put option expiring June 11, 2021, with 965 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 96,500 underlying shares of BLK.
