Among the underlying components of the S&P 500 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in Qorvo Inc (NASDAQ:QRVO), where a total of 7,375 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 737,500 underlying shares. That amounts to about 71.8% of QRVO's average daily trading volume over the past month of 1.0 million shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $175 strike call option expiring June 18, 2021, with 801 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 80,100 underlying shares of QRVO. Marriott International, Inc. (NASDAQ:MAR) options are showing a volume of 12,352 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 1.2 million underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 67.9% of MAR's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 1.8 million shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $105 strike put option expiring May 14, 2021, with 787 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 78,700 underlying shares of MAR. And 3M Co (NYSE:MMM) options are showing a volume of 14,503 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 1.5 million underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 66.2% of MMM's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 2.2 million shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $210 strike call option expiring May 14, 2021, with 847 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 84,700 underlying shares of MMM.
