Notable Friday Option Activity: SIX, HON, IIPR

Looking at options trading activity among components of the Russell 3000 index, there is noteworthy activity today in Six Flags Entertainment Corp (NYSE:SIX), where a total volume of 6,457 contracts has been traded thus far today, a contract volume which is representative of approximately 645,700 underlying shares (given that every 1 contract represents 100 underlying shares). That number works out to 44.2% of SIX's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 1.5 million shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $30 strike put option expiring September 17, 2021, with 3,000 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 300,000 underlying shares of SIX. Honeywell International Inc (NASDAQ:HON) options are showing a volume of 18,924 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 1.9 million underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 44.1% of HON's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 4.3 million shares.
Especially high volume was seen for the $227.50 strike put option expiring July 23, 2021, with 1,304 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 130,400 underlying shares of HON. And Innovative Industrial Properties Inc (NYSE:IIPR) options are showing a volume of 922 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 92,200 underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 44.1% of IIPR's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 209,240 shares.
Especially high volume was seen for the $300 strike call option expiring January 21, 2022, with 256 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 25,600 underlying shares of IIPR.
