Among the underlying components of the S&P 500 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in Oracle Corp (NYSE:ORCL), where a total of 67,790 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 6.8 million underlying shares. That amounts to about 53.4% of ORCL's average daily trading volume over the past month of 12.7 million shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $90 strike call option expiring July 23, 2021, with 6,794 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 679,400 underlying shares of ORCL. Expedia Group Inc (NASDAQ:EXPE) saw options trading volume of 12,001 contracts, representing approximately 1.2 million underlying shares or approximately 50.8% of EXPE's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 2.4 million shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $160 strike call option expiring August 20, 2021, with 4,352 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 435,200 underlying shares of EXPE.
