Notable Monday Option Activity: MDB, NKE, CVAC

Looking at options trading activity among components of the Russell 3000 index, there is noteworthy activity today in MongoDB Inc (NASDAQ:MDB), where a total volume of 3,837 contracts has been traded thus far today, a contract volume which is representative of approximately 383,700 underlying shares (given that every 1 contract represents 100 underlying shares). That number works out to 73.7% of MDB's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 520,840 shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $250 strike put option expiring January 20, 2023, with 700 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 70,000 underlying shares of MDB. Nike (NYSE:NKE) options are showing a volume of 32,639 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 3.3 million underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 72.6% of NKE's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 4.5 million shares.
Especially high volume was seen for the $165 strike put option expiring August 20, 2021, with 2,821 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 282,100 underlying shares of NKE. And CureVac NV (NASDAQ:CVAC) saw options trading volume of 4,499 contracts, representing approximately 449,900 underlying shares or approximately 69.3% of CVAC's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 649,200 shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $100 strike call option expiring August 20, 2021, with 993 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 99,300 underlying shares of CVAC.
