Noteworthy Friday Option Activity: DOMO, VRM, AEP

Looking at options trading activity among components of the Russell 3000 index, there is noteworthy activity today in Domo Inc (NASDAQ:DOMO), where a total volume of 2,299 contracts has been traded thus far today, a contract volume which is representative of approximately 229,900 underlying shares (given that every 1 contract represents 100 underlying shares). That number works out to 75.3% of DOMO's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 305,140 shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $80 strike call option expiring August 20, 2021, with 1,000 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 100,000 underlying shares of DOMO. Vroom Inc (NASDAQ:VRM) options are showing a volume of 8,461 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 846,100 underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 74.8% of VRM's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 1.1 million shares.
Especially high volume was seen for the $50 strike call option expiring January 21, 2022, with 4,754 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 475,400 underlying shares of VRM. And American Electric Power Co Inc (NASDAQ:AEP) options are showing a volume of 21,004 contracts thus far today. Especially high volume was seen for the $85 strike call option expiring August 20, 2021, with 9,911 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 991,100 underlying shares of AEP.
