Looking at options trading activity among components of the Russell 3000 index, there is noteworthy activity today in QAD, Inc. (QADA), where a total volume of 1,017 contracts has been traded thus far today, a contract volume which is representative of approximately 101,700 underlying shares (given that every 1 contract represents 100 underlying shares). That number works out to 68% of QADA's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 149,665 shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $85 strike put option expiring May 20, 2022, with 496 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 49,600 underlying shares of QADA. Particularly high volume was seen for the $44 strike put option expiring October 01, 2021, with 5,346 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 534,600 underlying shares of SKX.
