Looking at options trading activity among components of the Russell 3000 index, there is noteworthy activity today in Adobe Inc (NASDAQ:ADBE), where a total volume of 14,548 contracts has been traded thus far today, a contract volume which is representative of approximately 1.5 million underlying shares (given that every 1 contract represents 100 underlying shares). That number works out to 97.5% of ADBE's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 1.5 million shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $660 strike put option expiring September 17, 2021, with 562 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 56,200 underlying shares of ADBE. Particularly high volume was seen for the $30 strike put option expiring October 15, 2021, with 1,203 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 120,300 underlying shares of LRN. Particularly high volume was seen for the $25 strike call option expiring January 21, 2022, with 3,332 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 333,200 underlying shares of TGNA.
