Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in Crown Holdings Inc (NYSE:CCK), where a total of 4,429 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 442,900 underlying shares. That amounts to about 62.2% of CCK's average daily trading volume over the past month of 712,585 shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $100 strike put option expiring November 19, 2021, with 1,324 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 132,400 underlying shares of CCK. Academy Sports & Outdoors Inc (NASDAQ:ASO) options are showing a volume of 11,964 contracts thus far today. Especially high volume was seen for the $50 strike call option expiring December 17, 2021, with 2,741 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 274,100 underlying shares of ASO.
