Notable Tuesday Option Activity: DAL, CTXS, F

Among the underlying components of the S&P 500 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in Delta Air Lines Inc (NYSE:DAL), where a total of 57,228 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 5.7 million underlying shares. That amounts to about 51.1% of DAL's average daily trading volume over the past month of 11.2 million shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $42 strike put option expiring October 15, 2021, with 8,349 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 834,900 underlying shares of DAL. Citrix Systems Inc (CTXS) options are showing a volume of 7,380 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 738,000 underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 45.9% of CTXS's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 1.6 million shares.
Especially high volume was seen for the $87.50 strike put option expiring January 21, 2022, with 2,109 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 210,900 underlying shares of CTXS. Particularly high volume was seen for the $15.50 strike call option expiring October 15, 2021, with 45,730 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 4.6 million underlying shares of F.
