Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in Lockheed Martin Corp (NYSE:LMT), where a total of 6,335 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 633,500 underlying shares. That amounts to about 46.8% of LMT's average daily trading volume over the past month of 1.4 million shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $440 strike call option expiring June 17, 2022, with 1,017 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 101,700 underlying shares of LMT. Healthcare Trust Of America Inc (HTA) options are showing a volume of 11,885 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 1.2 million underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 46.5% of HTA's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 2.6 million shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $35 strike call option expiring January 21, 2022, with 11,463 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 1.1 million underlying shares of HTA.
