Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in Blackstone Mortgage Trust Inc (NYSE:BXMT), where a total of 6,633 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 663,300 underlying shares. That amounts to about 46.6% of BXMT's average daily trading volume over the past month of 1.4 million shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $33 strike call option expiring April 14, 2022, with 1,988 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 198,800 underlying shares of BXMT. Bank of America Corp (NYSE:BAC) options are showing a volume of 217,643 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 21.8 million underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 44.4% of BAC's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 49.0 million shares.
Especially high volume was seen for the $45 strike call option expiring October 15, 2021, with 13,492 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 1.3 million underlying shares of BAC. Especially high volume was seen for the $155 strike put option expiring January 21, 2022, with 7,374 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 737,400 underlying shares of ADI.
