Looking at options trading activity among components of the Russell 3000 index, there is noteworthy activity today in Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. (AAWW), where a total volume of 3,674 contracts has been traded thus far today, a contract volume which is representative of approximately 367,400 underlying shares (given that every 1 contract represents 100 underlying shares). That number works out to 77.2% of AAWW's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 475,640 shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $90 strike call option expiring November 19, 2021, with 390 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 39,000 underlying shares of AAWW. Shift Technologies Inc (SFT) options are showing a volume of 9,300 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 930,000 underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 76.8% of SFT's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 1.2 million shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $7.50 strike call option expiring November 19, 2021, with 4,605 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 460,500 underlying shares of SFT. Particularly high volume was seen for the $13 strike call option expiring December 17, 2021, with 5,166 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 516,600 underlying shares of SABR.
