Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in TuSimple Holdings Inc (TSP), where a total of 7,727 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 772,700 underlying shares. That amounts to about 56.2% of TSP's average daily trading volume over the past month of 1.4 million shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $45 strike call option expiring December 17, 2021, with 3,114 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 311,400 underlying shares of TSP. Quanta Services, Inc. (NYSE:PWR) options are showing a volume of 5,983 contracts thus far today. That number of contracts represents approximately 598,300 underlying shares, working out to a sizeable 55% of PWR's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 1.1 million shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $135 strike call option expiring February 18, 2022, with 5,031 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 503,100 underlying shares of PWR.
