Notable Thursday Option Activity: LOCO, MBI, IGT

Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, we saw noteworthy options trading volume today in El Pollo Loco Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:LOCO), where a total of 1,825 contracts have traded so far, representing approximately 182,500 underlying shares. That amounts to about 104.1% of LOCO's average daily trading volume over the past month of 175,255 shares. Particularly high volume was seen for the $13 strike put option expiring January 21, 2022, with 1,000 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 100,000 underlying shares of LOCO. MBIA Inc. (NYSE:MBI) saw options trading volume of 3,891 contracts, representing approximately 389,100 underlying shares or approximately 100.9% of MBI's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 385,765 shares.
Particularly high volume was seen for the $12 strike call option expiring February 18, 2022, with 750 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 75,000 underlying shares of MBI.
