Looking at options trading activity among components of the Russell 3000 index, there is noteworthy activity today in Solaris Oilfield Infrastructure Inc (NYSE:SOI), where a total volume of 1,192 contracts has been traded thus far today, a contract volume which is representative of approximately 119,200 underlying shares (given that every 1 contract represents 100 underlying shares). That number works out to 55.3% of SOI's average daily trading volume over the past month, of 215,395 shares. Especially high volume was seen for the $7.50 strike put option expiring August 19, 2022, with 1,151 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 115,100 underlying shares of SOI. Especially high volume was seen for the $24 strike call option expiring December 17, 2021, with 7,013 contracts trading so far today, representing approximately 701,300 underlying shares of X.
