On Thursday, Verizon Communications (NYSE:VZ) declared its quarterly dividend of 48.75 cents per share, an increase of about 3% over its prior dividend. Based on the current stock price, investors can expect a yield of about 6.5% going forward.
Shares of VZ were lower this afternoon, falling 0.8%.
In other dividend news, Chubb (NYSE:CB) maintained its quarterly dividend of 37 cents per share. Allegheny Technologies (NYSE:ATI) maintained its quarterly dividend of 18 cents per share. Packaging Corporation of American (NYSE:PKG) maintained its quarterly dividend of 15 cents per share. And Taubman Centers (NYSE:TCO) maintained its quarterly dividend of 41.5 cents per share.
